Julia
Julia Shields is a certified and
registered YABC and Yoga Alliance (500 hour) Yoga Teacher
and Yoga Teacher Trainer as well as a YABC Senior Yoga Teacher
Mentor and a Pilates Instructor. She has been teaching both
modalities as a full time career since the mid 1990's. Julia
is certified to train Yoga teachers at the 200 hour level
and enjoys teaching an eclectic fusion of many styles of
Yoga and Pilates. Therapeutic Yoga, Pregnancy Yoga, Hatha
Yoga for all levels, Hot Yoga, Power Yoga, Yoga/Pilates,
Pilates Mat classes, Myofascial release with the ball, Yoga

Kirsten
Kirsten radiates kindness, sincerity
and patience and is blessed with the wonderful gift of putting
people at ease. Kirsten began her Yoga journey in 2001 and
soon discovered profound transformations in her physical,
emotional and her spiritual body. This transformation and
feeling of empowerment led Kirsten along the path to Yoga
teacher training at the 200 hour level, where she excelled
in all levels. Kirsten is excited to be able to share her
knowledge of Yoga with others. Her gentle, easy going personality
makes her a natural teacher for Pre-natal Yoga, Mom's and
Babe's Yoga, Hatha Yoga and Seniors / Osteo Fit Yoga. Please

Virginia
Virginia was drawn to Yoga to reduce stress and improve flexibility. She soon realized Yoga has many rewards through dedicated practice. Virginia's philosophy is to work with your body from the inside out. Her aspirations are to help others find balance of mind, body, and spirit. Virginia currently teaches Yoga and Pilates mat classes and a combination of both modalities.

Allan
Julia's husband, best friend, & business partner. Allan is a devoted Surrey Firefighter and practices yoga to stay in shape and keep his mind and body in balance.
Allan works behind the scene to keep our studio's running smoothly and in excellent repair.
Allan is qualified to teach Nordic Poling and has his First Aid and CPR.
Allan is travelling to Thailand Decemeber 2006 to learn Thai massage.

Cari
In her practice Cari combines playfulness with a physically challenging and spiritually uplifting practice. Cari wishes to share the joy of Yoga and the wisdom of her teachers, with others. Cari teaches beginners and intermediate Hatha Yoga, Yogalates, Moms and Teens Yoga, Pre-natal Yoga, Power Yoga, Senior's and Kid's Yoga.

Rene
Rene began her yoga journey over eight years ago, but only fell in love with it two years ago when she
found a teacher she could connect with and started to learn what yoga is truly all about. She successfully completed the 200 hour level Yoga Teacher Training under that very teacher Julia Shields of “Free Spirit Yoga.” Rene compliments
her yoga teaching with a certification in Reike and Holistic Massage. Her understanding of people’s unique
bodies and their different needs ensures that she teaches with compassion and love. Rene is committed to
helping fellow yogi’s, and yogi’s to be, understand their own body’s limitations and potential. Namaste! |

Sara
Sara began practicing various yoga styles in 1999, after many years of formal dance training. After being inspired by so many yoga practicioners, she completed her long awaited goal of becoming a yoga instructor with her friend and mentor Julia Shields, of Free Spirit Yoga and Pilates. At which time she trained in Classical Hatha Yoga, Patanjali's eight limbs.
Sara is compassionate, energetic, easy going, and honest. She is inspired by the various styles of yoga, and the physical, and emotional benifits recieved by this practice. |

Lindsay
Lindsay began her yoga journey seven years ago at a gym to improve her
balance and flexibility. She was immediately drawn to practice and the
physical and mental benefits that came along with it. Yoga has helped to
sustain balance in her daily life in both body and mind. She has found yoga
to be beneficial with her other interests such as snowboarding and dancing;
by improving the awareness of her body and its surroundings.
Lindsay has always had an interest in the human body and movement and went
on to obtained her B.Kin from UCFV and is currently working as a registered
kinesiologist and personal trainer. |

Renée
Renée has always strived towards balanced health in her
personal life and career. Over the past 12 years she has worked as a Kinesiologist
doing rehabilitation work and individual and group fitness training. She applied a
keen interest in holistic, mind-body health to help her clients achieve harmony in
their overall health. A few years ago, Renée discovered a missing piece in her own
fitness practice when she took a restorative, relaxation yoga class and felt first-hand
the calming effects on the nervous system and the feeling of connectedness within.
Many yoga classes later, along with an awareness of the diversity of yoga training and
the myriad of therapeutic benefits, Renée decided to become a certified Hatha Yoga
instructor. In 2008 she completed her 200-level certification at Free Spirit Yoga and
continues to enjoy taking as well as teaching a variety of classes. |

Amy
Amy L. Reedman is a Registered Aromatherapist,
Certified Yoga and Meditation Teacher, Reiki and Healing Touch Practitioner and
Intuitive. Her passion and business is The Blending Bar serving up Yoga,
Energy Healing, Custom Blended Aromatherapy, Insight Card Readings and Active Guided
Meditation. Amy blends and delivers these Life Essentials with a Twist through
informative workshops, custom blended products and unique treatments in Metro
Vancouver. |

Clelia
Clelia's Meditations that Heal evenings are designed to bring students
into alignment with their deepest selves through focusing inward, clearing inner space and
learning to listen in a kind way to what needs their attention. She thinks of these evenings as
emotional, psychological and spiritual check-ins that are meaningful, revealing and light. They
are designed for women who want to connect with and replenish themselves and who want to take
away tools they can use at home. Clelia has worked as a therapist for 3 decades, inviting the
body and soul's wisdom in helping people become more peaceful and happy. She is certified in
counselling, Polarity therapy and the use of Focusing and has offered workshops for hundreds of
people in Vancouver and Montreal. She is delighted to be here now.
